Albert Boada, Barcelona, 1965.
From my earliest childhood, art has been a constant presence in my life, with painting and sculpture taking centre stage. My passion for drawing and painting emerged whenever I had an opportunity to express myself.
As a self-taught artist, I have developed a personal style, uninfluenced by any particular school or movement. Even so, I cannot deny my admiration for great masters such as Rubens, Dalí, Bouguereau, Antonio López and the artists of the Renaissance.
My range of subjects is broad and varied, spanning landscapes and figures that awaken the imagination or challenge reality. Animals recur throughout my work, appearing in scenes designed to evoke emotion and surprise the viewer.
I firmly believe that art is one of the most powerful forms of communication, whether it seeks to criticise, make a claim or simply inspire love.
